ADA Statement

The Frozen River Film Festival strives to be accessible to all, without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, veteran status, economic status, age, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or disability.

Seating – All venues have accessible entrances and seating available. Attendees requiring a wheelchair space or seating assistance should speak to the venue manager as soon as they arrive at the theater. Venue Managers will be dressed in all black. If you are having trouble finding the venue manager, please ask one of the venue volunteers in the FRFF t-shirt for help identifying them. We encourage you to arrive early. Seating for our screening venues begins 20-minutes prior to showtime.

Restrooms – All venues have accessible restrooms. Signs will be posted in the venues to direct where those can be found.

Closed Captions (CC) – Most of our screening venues are not classified as “movie theaters” under Title III of the ADA. The venues that are not movie theaters are not currently required to provide closed movie captioning services. Closed captioning is not available for all films and is developed at the discretion of the filmmaker. For more information, see Subtitles below.

Subtitles – All foreign-language films at the festival are screened in their original language and English subtitles will be provided. Please note that these films are subtitled or partially subtitled, not closed captioned. Films with subtitles are noted in the film descriptions on our website and in the program.

Assisted Listening Devices – Frozen River Film Festival is working toward being able to offer listening devices in all venues during the festival. Once assisted listening devices are available, we will have information posted on this webpage.

Parking – All venues have accessible parking. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are continuing to remove barriers in our programming to persons with disabilities. If you have a specific need, please contact FRFF three weeks in advance at
